Finally free from the large puffy costumes and heavy stage makeup, Dove savored the quiet and glow of a job well done in her dressing area backstage, head happily laid against the back of the long luxurious couch where she was lounging in the long shimmering gown she had chosen for the masquerade gala to follow.
She couldn't believe it had gone so well. The lights, the music... each act had passed flawlessly, perfected by the incredible cast she had worked with. Now all that was left was to relax and celebrate a job well done.
....And celebrate she would, she mused, lazily smiling over at the large array of flowers that had been sent to her room. One arrangement stood out in particular...and she had a pretty good feeling about the admirer who had sent them...
Camus had taken time to change and take off his stage make up, brushing his hair and putting it back into his normal style, even if it was a bit crunchy from styling product. He'd deal. After that, he went to his castmates room, knocking on the door before opening it a crack.
"Dove, are you decent?" He asked in a teasing voice.
"...For now," she quipped, sitting up properly and brushed her hands over the gown to smooth it as she stood and turned to cast him a look over her shoulder. "At least, I like to think I'm decent. At what is the question, really..."
....She's still glowing, just as she had been when they had taken their bows.
"Smart alec." He said, opening the door and walking in, before closing the door behind him. Walking up behind her, he rested his hands on her shoulders and pressed a kiss to her head.
"Plenty of things, if you were to ask me." A smile and chuckle accompanied that statement. "Are you ready to head out?"
She giggled, cheeks flushing a lovely bright pink at the kiss to her head, then hummed her agreement and turned to him properly. With a grin, she reached up to smooth his collar, paying careful attention to just barely brush her fingertips across the skin of his neck as she did so, then turned on heel and headed for the vanity to grab her bag.
"Are you ready for this? It's...going to be a lot of people..."
He scoffed. "I'll be fine. Just more of the icy persona people are used to." He smiled though. "Unless my little bird here wants me to, gasp, socialize." He watches as she grabs her bag, then offers his arm.
She openly rolled her eyes at him, even as she took his offered arm. "I don't think it'll kill either of us, though... I'd love to be in my bed sooner, rather than later."
"I wouldn't mind cuddling... it's supposed to be cold this evening anyway..."
That's an obvious eye cut up at him if there's ever been one. "Don't go making it worse. We'll only stay an hour, two tops. You know Steven will have a field day if I just go running back to my apartment without an appearance..."
Her agent wasn't strict, per-say, but explaining to the media exactly why she might be missing...wasn't exactly something she wanted in his hands.
"Something to look forward to after we're done here." He let go of her arm, resting it at the small of her back instead.
"There are a couple of things I'd enjoy telling Steven, but I'll play nice for now." He knew the media, and Steven, would be on him if they disappeared for the night without playing shining stars.
Her smile says it all, even as he releases her arm. Something to look forward to indeed.
She can't help but laugh at the almost threat and shakes her head fondly, rolling her eyes at him as they approach the entrance. "Hmmmm, for now. Just be sure to save some 'Nice' for later, hm?"
Already there are camera's flashing... she's curious to see how many tabloids they'll end up on tomorrow.
He leaned over when the cameras began to flash. "Which one of us goes to the store to check out the tabloids in the morning?" And then a smile against her ear, seeing more camera flashes. A smile as he turned back.
An hour, maybe two, then they could go home and just be them.
She almost shudders at the feel of his lips against her ear but keeps her cool for the most part, only eyeing him sideways as she takes the room. "Whichever of us is sadly still able to walk by then, I suppose."
He chuckles, running his fingers along her back when the photogs couldn't see. "Then again, we could call in delivery or a few favors from friends. Although the rest of the band wouldn't let me live it down."
There's a sharp pull of breath as he runs his fingers along her back, and goosebumps break out across her skin. It takes everything in her not to outright shudder at the touch, but she does lean into him, giving his ribs a quick jab with her elbow. "Not fair..."

"Me too. Especially if I can share a bed with you." He leads her to where the big shindig was, pausing before he went in.
"You sure you want to deal with people and not just go home?"
