Personality:
Dove, like everyone else, has been through quite a lot in her time that has shaped her into the woman she is today, though until her late teenage years, she lived a very easy life. She is, overall, extroverted and poised, well spoken and adventurous, and incredibly passionate and emotional. She is a romantic in all aspects, and a prime target for being shaped by new experiences...even if it hurts.
Raised in high society and luxury, Dove has never known material needs, nor has she truly experienced normal hardships of living first hand. While she is kind and does her absolute best to relate to the normal struggles people have, she is sometimes unable. The problems she does encounter are largely emotional, as she has been met with very little genuine opposition in her time and thus has no training in how to handle her newer problems.
Though she has few material needs (if any), Dove is not above putting herself in more difficult situations for a while and doesn’t openly vocalize her discomforts while in them. Unfortunately, she is also as easily read as a book when in an unprofessional setting. She adapts quickly, but loses her easy grace in the process. She is stubborn and ever willing to try, though and will fake it when she has to. While ignorant to the actual ways of the world outside her own society, she is very eager to learn more.
Having been sheltered most of her life, she is also sometimes naive, though she excels in communication and socializing. Dove also attended a very prestigious school, giving her a strong background in education that instilled within her a love of learning and access to a field of people to meet and befriend, even if her relationships were, unknown to her, somewhat superficial. She excelled in literature and humanities, but struggles with mathematics and the sciences.
Given her lavish upbringing, Dove is hyper aware of appearances, particularly her own subconsciously, and the attention she has received from her peers in her past does little to help with her accidental vanity. While she is blessed with more romantic talents and looks, she is absolutely pitiful at anything that involves true craftsmanship or practical handiwork. She is not a homemaker, though she does enjoy cooking of all things. She is also hypersensitive to people’s opinions about her and self-conscious ever since the revelation of how shallow her friendships truly were. She refuses to let it show to the best of her abilities, however, and dwells on it only when she is alone. In a professional setting, however, she handles critique well.
And she hates being alone. Time to herself to breathe and relax is very much desired, but only if the option for social interaction is available when she needs it. She gets lonely easily, and tends to wilt the longer she is without interaction, as it gives her time to let her mind rush without direction. Dove very much likes to stay busy and involved.
Dove is an insatiable extrovert, and easily gets lonely, sometimes shadowing her dependence. Well practiced in meeting new people, she is charismatic and outgoing. She has a bright and fun personality, striving to make others feel welcome and comfortable with her, and takes a genuine interest in each person she encounters. She’s very playful and flirtatious, and matches people as best she can almost immediately; she adopts small quirks with relative ease, and relates on a superficial level until interests shift to deeper conversation. (Example: Talking to a child warrants much simpler, ‘fun’ talking while talking to a high ranking official would merit a more professional and poised demeanor in conversation). She is just as flexible socially as she is physically.
Unfortunately, while she is capable of charming conversation and is open to friendship with most everyone she meets, it is, in fact, very hard to gain her full trust. She is hesitant to be especially vulnerable with most people, particularly men, and takes her time through trial and error to open up completely.
Dove is, as alluded to above, a very romantic character, passionate and emotionally driven. Her time in theatre not only nurtured her already passionate nature, but also allowed her to explore a full range of emotion and charisma at her will. She does have the quick temper of a firebender. Dove enjoys the arts, especially theatrical dramas and upcoming photography. She is particularly interested in movers, and hopes to see more of how they are created first hand while in the city.
Her spirituality is lacking, and she searches for affirmation, looking for the inner peace that she could not attain at home. She has yet to encounter any spirits, and rumor of the spirits in Republic City is one of the biggest draws for her, in hopes that somehow, she will be able to learn something from them.
When it comes to romantic relationships, Dove falls hard and fast, though she is now fearful and hesitant from the scars of her previous relationship. She unfortunately holds a somewhat misogynistic bias on her role as the woman in a romantic relationship. Her dating history shows her as submissive in relationships, for better and for worse, and she looks to the man for decision making and leadership. She holds an optimistic outlook, romanticizing

History:
Dove’s childhood was luxurious, filled with people and places and events. Born and raised in an affluent and influential noble family in Capital City (capital of the Fire Nation), she led a happy childhood with her mother, father, and older brother. Though maids took up most of her upbringing, the girl easily made friends at the prestigious Royal Fire Academy for Girls. Her parents, determined to have their daughter fit their sophisticated high lifestyle, encouraged (forcibly so) their children to learn dancing, etiquette, easy conversation, and fashionable tastes, among other things. Her own determination led her to more athletic pursuits alongside her brother as she aged, furthering her pursuit in dancing and gymnastics. Dove was often left to her own imagination and choices as a child, and therefore found her surroundings lonely at times. Rarely rebellious but always dreaming, Dove grew up happy and blissfully unaware of true struggle.
Things, however, would change too quickly once she was of age. As the girl blossomed and her parents’ ambitions grew, her responsibilities began to shift from simply holding her head high to becoming a higher ranking member of her society, which she embraced fully without question until she found her opinions meant very little to her parents. While they favored a political lifestyle and focused on appearances, Dove’s sense of justice and a flair for personal freedom and expression drove her into an uncomfortable way of life, and as things became more and more stifling, she sought outlets in which she could stretch her wings, all the while staying close to home. Though given whatever she asked for (including the permission to keep a young, rescued tigerdillo that took a great liking to her), Dove was rarely given true affirmation for her efforts, only applauded when her ventures broadcasted her talents on a larger scale and brought her family greater recognition. Her life quickly became a popularity contest, and for a while, she excelled.
While performance in theatre became a fulfilling and easily accessible pastime for Dove and a promising career, it also brought about much critique from her mother who had once dabbled in the art herself. The younger woman often felt overshadowed and pressured by her mother’s overbearing ways, and longed to escape it, but enjoyed the attention it brought and the people it brought her to. She quickly developed an interest in people from foreign places, their backgrounds, and their cultures, deeply concerned with those that lived ‘below’ her lifestyle and the lifestyle of her friends.
Her interest in those outside of her society and slight hesitations and reserves began to wear on those around her, eventually leading to a slow revelation of how shallow the friendships had been the entire time. When one young man was brave enough to be direct and explain in one short argument how shallow her friendships truly were, she accepted it as it was, and brought upon herself a fear of extremely close relationships as well as an overpowering need for them.
Her parents also expected her to eventually find herself in a high ranking couple pairing, which, as a romantic young woman, she longed for. Her parents’ attempts at matchmaking with a close family friend seemed to work for a time, but in the end, resulted in secret suffering for a few years. (See Personality section). Breaking it off proved much more difficult than she had ever imagined, and eventually through with the thought of dealing with it or the stresses of home any longer, the girl decided to branch out and find someplace to start anew, relocating herself in Republic City.
