She shakes her head and tends to the cookies, leaving it be. Weirdo. He had, quite literally, laid on his face for a lot of his time in the infirmary...
She works with the little twister he's given her, chatting with him about this and that until suddenly... the conversation, while easy before, begins to slip even further, more and more into what seems like intentional touches and the occasional bump against him as she moves the cookies from place to place.
Maybe they're naturally just in tune, weird as it may be.
Maybe it has something to do with the holiday vine that neither of them have noticed sneaking across the ceiling over their workspace....
It probably has something to do with that, at least, as he keeps the arm that would be in the way of her standing against his side up, controlling various winds that way.
And if he's missed any plants, its totally because his attention is on the winds moving across the table, rather than plants above them.
And to dove, maybe not quite noticed, but the fun he's having has shifted a bit - its a little deeper, a little warmer.
... And maybe a little warmer yet as he casually drops his arm over her shoulders. Yup. Comfy.
Oh, she's noticed his take on the fun. She's loving it, more and more the further she slips.
She loops an arm around his back when he drops his arm around her and smiles up at him, fingers lightly rubbing his side....maybe absently tracing that tattoo on his hip. "These look good," she remarks, nodding toward the cookies and only taking her eyes off of him for a moment. "We should, um.... do this more often..."
So maybe her voice dropped to something a little warmer itself... That expression in her oh so delicate features is certainly much more inviting.
Dove have you noticed how low his pants sit, it is not safe to trace that tattoo. Really, really not safe, to go either direction. That is a dip deeper and he glances down at her with it because. Girl, hands are uh-
"Oh? Stay up all night cooking for the castle?" Playful, teasing, brightly grinning. "That's an awful lot of kids to adopt." Totally not the point she was making, right?
She laughs, coquettishly leaning back a bit to grin back up at him. "I
meant hang out, but I'm good with kids," she nods playfully, keeping her
balance with that hand on his side.
"Oh~? Was that, perhaps, 'challenge accepted, Zaveid'?" Look he really likes kids? but that arm he had about her shoulders slides down and about her, then he just.. kinda picks her up. Sort of bearhug, sort of snuggle, he's... like a giant cat, warm with affection since he doesn't really have a body temperature-
She laughs blissfully, turning and wrapping her arms about his neck once he's picked her up and returning the ridiculous affection just as eagerly. "Absolutely," she confirms with a bright smile, nose to nose with him as she playfully bumps the bridges together. "You've always felt like a guy who'd like a good challenge. Why would I hold back?"
This is so nice, and even if it's fake and likely to come crashing down at any minute, the angel feels more carefree and safe than she has in years. ...
Probably shows in the way she glows and the happy fuzzies she's sharing.
The less than secret is he straight up isn't thinking about it. Probably because some part of him says 'yeah no way this is real' and another remembers a witch and maybe something about 'can't fight happiness'. Who would want something like this with the hellion hunter.
"Keeps life interesting. Can't have it growing dull now, can I?" That... is a little less simple affectionate flirting than it ought to be, but here's something else.
Nuzzles into her neck and kisses up the side to her jaw.
